Description: A clumping palm which can grow 10 feet tall and 10 feet wide.

Hardiness: Zone 8 (10°F) with some damage occurring at about 15°F. Needs protection in Zone 7 when temperatures drop below 15°F.

Description: Grows from 20 to 30 feet tall. Produces very tasty fruit which people make jelly from.

Origin: Southern Brazil and Uruguay.

MEDITERRANEAN FAN PALM

Hardiness: Reliably hardy in Zone 8 (10°F); marginally hardy to 5°F in Zone 7 if given some protection.

Description: A clustering fan palm that grows 5 to 6 feet tall. likes good drainage and full sun

Origin: Mediterranean. It is the only palm native to Europe.

(Chinese fan palm)

Hardiness: Leaves damaged around 25 deg. F This palm can be grown in Zone 7 as a deciduous plant – cut the damaged leaves and mulch the stem . In spring new leaves emerge.

Description: Slow growing palm with bright green fan leaves. In warmer climates, it can grow to 25 feet.
